Jose David de Teves Medeiros Abelha, 77, passed on April 12, 2022. He was the husband of Maria de Jesus do Rego Abelha. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on November 11th.
Born in Matris Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel Acores, Portugal, He was the son of the late Jose Elias Abelha and Maria Ilda de Teves Medeiros.
He had been employed as a fisherman for many years in Portugal and then worked for the former Northeast Cable of Attleboro.
Besides his wife he is survived by 4 children. Jose Antonio do Rego Abelha, his fiancé Diana Fraga, Aldina Abelha her fiance Raymond Arroyo, Mario Abelha, and Nuno Abelha, siblings, Ernesto Abelha, Maria Camara, Irene Abelha Menillo, Nelia Raposo and Dalia Abelha Camara, Five grandchildren, Sabrina, Karina, Mario, Lilliana and Mason, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 from 4pm until 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 19th at 8:30am in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
